Immunity Elixir

Ingredients

  • Whole lemons: 2–3 tablespoon
  • Ginger: 1 thumb-sized piece, peeled and grated or sliced
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1/8 teaspoon
  • Honey (optional): 1–2 teaspoons
    • Note: Excluded during detox 
  • Water: 2–3 cups

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients:

  • Juice the lemons, removing any seeds. Save the zest if desired for added flavor.
  • Peel and grate or slice the ginger.

Combine in a pot:

  • Add the water, lemon juice, ginger, turmeric powder, and black pepper to a small saucepan.

Heat gently:

  • Heat the mixture on low to medium heat for 5–10 minutes. Avoid boiling to preserve nutrients.

Sweeten (optional):

  • Remove from heat and stir in honey, adjusting sweetness to taste.

Strain and serve:

  • Strain the elixir into a cup to remove ginger pieces, or leave them for added potency.

Enjoy:

  • Sip warm or let it cool and serve chilled.
